What is this weekend about...
Presence of Breath introduces you to two complementary paths to present moment awareness and emotional integration. The Presence Process by Michael Brown is a self guided, ten week journey that uses consciously connected breathing, simple responses, and weekly prompts to help you meet life with steadier presence. The book first appeared in 2005 and has since reached readers worldwide.
Transformational Breath® is a modern, education based approach to conscious, diaphragmatic breathing created by Dr. Judith Kravitz in the mid to late 1970s. It is taught globally through the Transformational Breath Foundation.
Michael Brown originally emphasized practicing the process on one’s own. After encountering Transformational Breath, he began recommending it for people who want guided facilitation while moving through the journey. Presence of Breath was created to teach the foundations of both, so you can begin your practice with clarity, support, and momentum.

Dr. Haifa Al-Dubai
Haifa transitioned from scientific research at the University of Vienna to holistic therapies, driven by her dedication to healing and personal growth. Combining her scientific knowledge with holistic therapies, she bridges the physical, emotional, and spiritual, offering a balanced approach to well-being. Known for her gentle and compassionate presence, Haifa helps clients alleviate pain, heal past traumas, and rediscover their true selves. By fostering emotional resilience and encouraging self-care, she empowers individuals to move beyond stress and embrace a life of harmony and purpose.

Eugenia
Eugenia Altamira's professional accomplishments reflect her dedication to education, research, and transformative methodologies. She graduated as valedictorian and served as head of research in the sociology department at the Universidad Latina de America, where she taught behavior modification and research seminars for eight years. Her scholarly contributions include three influential books: a methodology for teaching Mexican Sign Language, an exploration of Mexico's history through family narratives, and a study on young adults’ civic and political engagement. Eugenia's expertise has also earned her a leadership role as the Curriculum Coordinator for the Transformational Breath® Foundation, where she continues to refine and expand the reach of this innovative approach.
Haifa
Haifa holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Genetics and spent 15 years as a scientific researcher at the University of Vienna. In addition to her academic expertise, she is certified in various alternative therapies and practices, including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Tapping), Theta Healing, and Pranic Healing. As a Transformational Breath® facilitator, group leader, and trainer, she has guided numerous clients through one-on-one sessions and workshops while actively participating in Transformational Breath® training programs. She also mentors aspiring Transformational Breath® facilitators.

Questions You Might Have
Do I need prior experience with breathwork? No. Presence of Breath is designed for beginners as well as those who have tried breath practices before. You will be guided step by step and supported throughout the weekend.
What if something difficult comes up during a session? The facilitators are trained to hold a trauma-informed space where you are guided with care, safety, and respect. If strong emotions or memories arise, you will be supported to stay grounded and present, and given tools to help you integrate the experience. You are always in control of your process, and you will never be pushed beyond your readiness.
Will I be able to continue after this weekend? Yes. Many participants go on to the Transformational Breath® Essentials Course (Levels 1–3) for a deeper immersion into self-facilitation, or even into professional training if they feel called. This weekend is an excellent first step.
What if I have a medical condition or I am pregnant? Transformational Breath® can be adapted for many people. Please let us know in advance about any medical conditions so facilitators can provide appropriate guidance.
Is this the same as The Presence Process? Presence of Breath is based on Michael Brown’s book The Presence Process and integrates Transformational Breath®, the only breathwork method he recommends to accompany the journey. The weekend gives you a strong foundation and a “head start” if you plan to continue the full 10-week self guided process at home.
How many sessions will we have? You will experience four fully facilitated Transformational Breath® sessions over the weekend, plus short talks, integration time, and Q&A.
What should I wear and bring? Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and you can relax in. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle to avoid single use plastics, and a journal with something to write with for notes and reflections. Everything else you need will be provided at the venue.
What is the refund policy? The registration fee is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to another event led by Eugenia Altamira. If, for any reason, we need to cancel the event, you will receive a 100% refund.
